Fixed Term Contract - 12 months

£37,431 - £49,021 per annum inclusive of outer fringe allowance (career grade)

37 hours per week (Hybrid Working)


We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Environmental Health Officer to join our Environmental Health team on a fixed term contract (12months).


In this role you'll be working within our commercial team predominately responding to both service requests and delivering statutory interventions in food and health & safety, based upon your experience and competency.


This is a role for someone that is passionate about Environmental Health, takes pride in delivering a responsive customer focussed service and can work well under pressure.

You'll need to bring a positive attitude, be prepared to try new ways of working, celebrate success and show perseverance to achieve compliance.

Organisational skills will be invaluable to manage a varied caseload, for which you will take personal responsibility.


There is a need to be flexible and sometimes be prepared to work outside of regular office hours to deliver our services.

You will have a relevant qualification In Environmental Health.

This is a frontline role, so good verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to explain complex legislation to a variety of audiences and provide advice in accurate spoken English.


Assessments will be held on 29 September 2023.
**Interviews will be held on 4 October 2023.
