Description
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join the team covering Reactive Buildings.

Working for an established civil engineering company you will be involved with the management of Rail projects including supply of contractsto Network Rail.


The main functions of the role include:

  • The management of Network Rail and rail related infrastructure contracts to requisite performance criteria, ensuring stringent KPIs are met (estimating submissions, delivery timescales, risk scores, completion packs etc).
  • Liaising with client personnel and represent the company at Client deliverability meetings as appropriate. Maintaining and developing client relationships, on the basis of mutual trust and high standards of contract performance.
  • Liaising with the programming team to ensure the day to day work bank is planned and resourced, in line with first principal allowances and driven by required turnover targets.
  • Liaising with commercial team to review estimate submissions and final account details analysing trends and reporting on day to day civils performance to the Framework Manager.
  • Providing technical support, guidance and practical advice to WDMs and Assistant WDMs on the Eastern Buildings Framework.
  • Manage the WDMs and Assistant WDMs to ensure the site teams are complying to requirements of site returns, commercial reporting, quality and safety etc to drive efficiencies across the Framework.
  • Preparing and implementing Site specific management plans, to ensure Site activities comply with Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies.
  • Preparing and implementing site documentation and contract plans to conform, as a minimum, to the client's requirement and specification.
  • Leading and implementing professional safety behaviour and culture throughout the business, promoting positive change in everyday activities.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent contract with sociable, full time hours Monday to Friday.
You will be working a standard 40 hour week with potential to take overtime. An immediate start is available.


You will need;

  • Buildings, Civil Engineering Construction work (at least 5 years)
  • Management of multiple reactive work sites
  • Commercial and Programming Experience
  • Civils background
  • PTS

Desirable Skills;

  • Experience of working within a railway environment
  • Earthwork experience
  • COSS
  • Continued professional development courses as appropriate
  • Excellent IT skills

  • Word / Excel / Power Point
  • Confident communicator and Team Player
