An opportunity has arisen to begin the journey of a rewarding career within CAMHS.


A vacancy has arisen for a permanent Band 3 Healthcare support worker to gain knowledge, skills and experience of working with children, and young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties and provide support their families within community services in the Cwm Taf Locality.


The CAMHS Service have a number of bases across the CTM Locality, Carnegie Clinic in the Rhondda, Child and Family Centre Tonteg, Keir Hardie Health Park in Merthyr and Bridgend Clinic in the Princess of Wales Hospital.

The post holder's clinical work will be part of a robust and supportive multi-disciplinary community team working across the CTM Locality.


To support the provision of Health and Social Care to young people experiencing mental ill health in a range of settings within the context of a multi-disciplinary Eating Disorder service and support the delivery of evidence based mental health care to clients in resource centres and a range of community based premises.

The post holder will on occasions be required to work without direct supervision.


The post holder will be expected to assist with the organisation and facilitation of the medication monitoring clinics and therapeutic groups.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
