    Quantity Surveyor - Manchester

    The John Sisk & Son UK Build North Business is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team. The successful candidate will work alongside the Project Director to ensure a successful project delivery, maintaining relationships, maximising commercial returns and managing risk.

    The ideal candidate will have experience as a Quantity Surveyor in build projects, preferably on large Hospital/Healthcare schemes. A relevant 3rd level qualification and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential.

    The role will involve:
    • Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate sub-contractors, negotiating and finalising sub-contractor orders, financial and commercial management of sub-contracts to Final Account completion.
    • Managing and reporting of forecasts, targets, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in site records and document control.
    • Liaising with and commercially influencing/challenging site management teams while maintaining and protecting JSS commercial and contractual entitlements.
    • Managing and overseeing Assistant Quantity Surveyors and Technical Quantity Surveyors, checking and taking responsibility for their work and signing off Site Management Measuring (SMM) issues.

    Key Qualifications:
    • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in build projects.
    • Relevant 3rd level qualification.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
