Lodge Park is looking for a School Sport Coach and Enrichment Officer.

_ About the role_
Increase participation in a range of sports across all year groups and target groups of students.

Deliver sessions throughout the week before, during and after school to enhance performance and increase participation.

Develop Lodge Park Academy sports teams to enter local, regional and national team competitions.

Work with the Head of PE to effectively plan a programme of opportunities across the year

Lead primary outreach to local primary schools - Rockingham and Bringhurst Primary.


Promote the enrichment programme along with other sports enrichment, via Social media, press releases and regular update / reports to the Principal.


In collaboration with Head of PE and any relevant specialist coaches, develop an individual Academy action plan to deliver the Trust's Sports Enrichment Strategy and academy ambitions.


Support the Head of PE in delivering the school's action plan - increasing sports participation and sporting competitiveness at the academy.

To support the delivery of enrichment clubs and fixtures provided by the PE department.


Collate and report attendance at enrichment opportunities across the school that will contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the Sports Enrichment Programme.

Subject to the duration of the need, the special conditions given below apply:
The nature of the work may involve the post holder carrying out work outside of normal working hours.

The role will involve the post holder carrying out work across campus


The post holder may be required to attend, from time to time, training courses, conferences, seminars or other meetings as required by his/her own training needs and the needs of the service.

Fixed term until August 2024, 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

NJC 10 £23,620 FTE per annum, £20,747.30 pro rata

_ Who we are looking for_
A range of sports NGB qualification or significant experience within a range of sports

Contacts, passion and experience within a variety of sports which could be drawn on to benefit Lodge Park Academy

Passion for sport and experience in coaching, development, organisation or delivery of sport

Experience of working with young athletes

Ability to plan, organise and deliver successful programmes, events and initiatives

Positive role model, demonstrating self-motivation and mature interpersonal skills.

Ability to develop and maintain a warm, respectful and valued rapport with young people.

Effective communication skills (verbal and written) including presentations.

Able to use your own initiative to drive participation and improve performance
