Our
Local Government client, based in the
West Midlands , is currently recruiting for a
Finance Manager (Education) on a temporarycontract for
six months initially.

The position is due to start as soon as possible on a
full time basis. This is an almost entirely
remote position, requiring travel to the office only once or twice a month.

This role falls within the Education Directorate at the Council so experience in Education or Local Authority is essential.

Duties will include (but not limited to)**:

  • Manage one direct report, providing specialist advise on complex business matters
  • Responsible for the High Needs Block, Skills and Employability
  • Reviewing funding support for pupils and students with SEND who require additional resources to participate in education and learning
  • Provide accurate advice on High Needs Block criteria

Experience required:


  • Staff management
  • Experience working within Education or for a Local Authority
  • CCAB qualified

Rewards and Benefits:


  • Predominately home working
- £550 per day (inside IR35)


Working hours:


  • 37 hours per week


  • Monday

  • Friday 9am5pm (flexible)
