The Role:
- General office administration (sorting, processing and filing of financial paperwork, booking travel and accommodation, and maintaining office sundries).
- Process journals, prepayments, accruals, purchase invoices and receipts.
- Oversee monthly credit card transactions and purchase orders.
- Support monthly payroll, the preparation of monthly reporting, quarterly management accounts and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Enable and manage the development of internal systems for financial governance and compliance. E.g. a system for compliance checks for customers and businesses partners (KYC, ABC, AML)
- Be prepared to undertake wider support tasks as required by the business.
- Have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Be selfmotivated and capable of working on own initiative.
- Prioritise effectively and maintain composure under pressure.
- Have (or be willing to work towards) a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, ICB, etc), or have previous experience working in a similar role.
- Be driven to grow professionally in knowledge, experience and responsibility.
- Experience in the use of accounting software, ideally Sage 50.
- A demonstratable aptitude to learn and develop new skills.
- An interest in developing a holistic understanding of the business.
- A future desire to pursue ACCA or CIMA certification.
