This is maternity leave cover for a development post therefore can be recruited as a Band 4 or Band 5 Senior Divisional Finance Advisor (SDFA) Please see both Job Descriptions to ensure you understand the roles and criteria for both bands**Applicants with the relevant experience and qualifications will be considered for the Band 5 SDFA role.


We are looking for someone who is confident and ambitious to begin or further their career and knowledge in NHS Finance.

Working alongside a fantastic team of Management and Divisional Accountants, we are looking for an individual who can use their initiative, be courageous and proactive, to support the division and its budget holders.


Due to the pandemic, there have been many challenges our resilient finance team have had to face and we are looking for someone with self awareness, excellent communication and relationship building skills to join our finance family.

These skills will be heavily relied on as our department works in an agile manner, so new team members will need to have the ability to build some relationships with the team and division whilst working from home in this remote manner.


The Finance Department has been at the forefront of change and continual improvement and winning numerous national awards including HFMA, embracing technology as well as the Public Sector Finance award for Training & Development.

Producing and assisting in the development of accurate monthly budgetary and associated information

Reporting to the Divisional Accountant upon the monthly performance of a range of designated budgets highlighting any significant movements.

Advising, supporting and being a point of contact to budget managers within the Trust.

Providing accurate advice and detail in relation to ESR and act as a point of contact to the Department.

Assisting the Finance Analyst with internal training.

Support Innovation and the Finance 'Continuous Improvement' Agenda in day to day working.
