The Llantrisant site consists of a team of about 100 manufacturing complex electro-mechanical instrumentation used in laboratories globally.Site Quality Leader will work across cross-functions to develop, implement, align and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with customer expectations, corporate objectives, management policies and all international standards/regulations. You will manage the compliance and improvement of the QMS using key processes such as Quality Management Review, Internal Audits, Customer Complaints and Corrective/Preventive action systems.
The Site Quality Leader will be the Management Representative, the chairman of the Quality Management Review and a key customer liaison.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge and adherence to site safety requirements
- Accept ownership of the Quality Management System and provide daytoday support and leadership necessary to ensure consistent product quality and drive overall customer satisfaction
- Develop goals and strategy for sitelevel activities based on the company's business objectives
- Manage Quality employees through recruitment and development to clear departmental objectives
- Act as management representative as appointed by top management
- Lead Quality group to sustain and improve QMS while containing and correcting any nonconformities
- Organize and provide Quality direction in site processes, procedures and work instructions
- Approve SOPs, release product, escalate any high risk and authorize shipping holds, where appropriate
Requirements for the position:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Science disciplines
- Significant experience as a Quality Engineer or equivalent with a track record, demonstrating strong leadership skills
- Experienced in a Quality Management System in a manufacturing environment, preferably ISO 9001:201
- Experienced in root cause analysis and using Quality tools as CAPA, Ishikawa, Pareto and FMEA
- Supporting Management Review including the collection of inputs and tasking of outputs
- Supporting the Internal Audit process and contributing to any external audits
- Fluent in the English language
