Description

Take direction from Site Supervisor on work requirements, ensuring Pipes are welded in a prompt manner and production output figures are met.
Read and fully understand the drawings for each project.
Weld pipe sets for various pipe diameters (_typically carbon steel ranging from 125mm 500mm_) from shop drawings.
Communicate effectively with their coworkers and supervisors to discuss any issues or concerns that may arise during the welding process.
Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and Welding is carried out to the correct standard.
Liaise regularly with Quality Control regarding any defects and any nonconformances.
Ensure Company H&S Processes followed.
Ensuring allocated work progresses in a timely manner and in accordance with workload and specifications.
Set an example to all personnel when on site.
Any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Essential Criteria:

Minimum of 3 years' Programming, Setting and Operating a Robot Welding Machine in an Engineering Environment.
Minimum of 3 years' operating as an established experienced Welder, that includes GMAW.
Previous Experience working a Backshift.
To have an indepth knowledge of Weld Defects.
Proven Experience efficiently troubleshooting and resolving problems that may arise during the welding process.
The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
Able to use Shop floor hand tools like Grinders etc.
Confident in understanding shopfloor drawings
Organized and structured approach to your work
Good attendance and timekeeping record
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, whilst maintaining a high level of productivity
To undertake training in line with company standards.

Desirable:

Previous experience as a Welder, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG.
Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environment
