THE ROLE


Birmingham City University is seeking an established academic leader to join the College of Psychology as Deputy Head of College.

Supporting the Head of College, the post holder will provide leadership to the College, promoting and developing the College's offer in line with the Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences strategic plan.


In this role and as a key member of the College Management Team, you will provide leadership in learning and teaching, research, and enterprise and engagement.

The Deputy Head of College will actively foster a positive working environment within the College, encouraging active engagement and valuing the contributions of colleagues.

The post holder will manage change projects across the College and work closely with the Head of College to ensure that agreed performance standards relating to REF, research income, NSS results and other metrics, are met.

To be successful as Deputy Head of College, the post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues across Colleges and Faculties in Birmingham City University, to support projects and initiatives to develop the university as a whole.
