Are you a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in an outstanding alternative provision? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate individual to join a dynamic team at an alternative provision with primary and secondary sites in Wigan.

About the School:
Our client is an outstanding alternative provision in Wigan, consisting of both primary and secondary sites.

It's important to note that the school is not an alternative to special schools for learners with Education, Health, and Care (EHC) plans or statements of Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Instead, it serves as a mainstream provision, capable of offering intervention and assessment placements for learners with statements whose behaviour hinders their success in a mainstream setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated support to students with behavioural challenges, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement effective intervention strategies.
Foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for students to thrive academically and emotionally.
Assist in the assessment of students' progress and contribute to the development of individual learning plans.

Additional information:

8:30 am 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Term time only
Daily rate of pay: £78 £95, depending on experience
Immediate start

Requirements:

Relevant experience as a Teaching Assistant
Understanding of supporting students with challenging behaviour
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
