JOB- Assembly Technician

LOCATION- Surrey

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £22,000 - £26,000 per annum plus benefits

My client works within engineering manufacturing and they are looking for an Assembly Technician to join their business on a permanent basis in the Surrey area.


The Assembly Technicianwill ideally have the following attributes:

  • Have experience working in a similar varied Engineering / Logistics type role in a similar manufacturing environment
  • Have an organised approach to work
  • Have hands on assembly and soldering skills
  • Be able to understand basic mechanical drawings and electronic schematics
  • Be able to work well as well as part of a team
  • Good computer literacy
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be selfmotivated and have a positive attitude

The Assembly Technician role will involve:

  • Supporting the companies engineering function
  • Liaising with other departments
  • Having a good awareness for quality
  • Supporting Engineers with regards to design and build of test equipment
  • Processing, packing and dispatching products
  • Ensuring that dispatch dates are met
  • Being involved in small volume assembly within production and soldering
  • Carrying out component level rework on products
  • Inspecting and storing products in Goods-In
  • Being involved in quality checks in Final Inspection
  • Always complying with Health & Safety policies
