Transport Services are seeking a Senior Transport Officer in our Client Team to oversee our contracted passenger transport operations for Education and Social Care clients.


The Senior Transport Officer will manage a team of three Transport Officers and oversee the provision of passenger transport for 2,200 education and social care clients, across more than 100 contracts.

They will need to balance excellent customer service with delivering cost-effective, safe, legal, contracted operations.

They will undertake risk assessments, lead on safeguarding issues, review policy, implement efficiency improvements, ensure effective contract management and compliance and handle complaints/concerns.

Applicants should be educated to level 5 or have equivalent experience.

They should have detailed knowledge of transport legislation and procurement, have excellent communication skills, be able to work as part of a team, and manage their own workload.

They will have experience of working with vulnerable clients, managing contracts, budgets and scheduling and need strong IT skills.
