Hours: 15 hours weekly - including some evenings and weekends, the role will
be spread across three days.
Salary Scale:
£13.15 p/h
Reporting to:
Centre Manager
Purpose of Role
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Project Coordinator who will act as the first point of contact with the public, support us with administration, project management and general centre upkeep.
In addition, you'll be supporting us to hiring the our spaces, scheduling our programmes, some reception, administration and caretaking duties including reporting repairs and organising for the general maintenance, cleanliness and security of Lewisham Irish Community Centre.
The role will support our frontline team of services by ensuring the site and premises are welcoming, safe and a secure environment for the local community and that the facilities are been used to their full potential.
Premises
- To ensure all areas of the interior of the community centre are clean, tidy, and safe. =Ensure upkeep of external areas, front garden, fire exit areas. _
- Adhere to company and statutory health and safety procedures and policies._
- To maintain a stock of suitable cleaning equipment & materials and store safely.
- Report maintenance and repair issues promptly to line manager
- Opening up of buildings and closure of buildings as required. _
- Carryout weekly fire alarm testing
- Do weekly legionella monitoring
- Liaise with Centre Manager to organised fire drills_
Administration/Reception duties
- Welcome guests and Centre users to the centre as and when required.
- Arrange viewing appointments for perspective hall hirers and take bookings
- Complete halls hire agreements, issue terms and conditions and take hall hire.
- Support with the coordination of weekly activities using our website and mailing list
- Open up for hirers, arrange keys collection and lock up as required for private events.
Cultural and community events
- Support set up and organise community events, celebrations and social
- _Prepare hall for events and lock up after events as required.
- _Any other duties required by the role._
