A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager to join a growing independent company that specialise in the hire of tools, plant and machinery.

You will be responsible for the sales and development in Surrey and the surrounding areas.
Salary £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience) + Commission


Role & Responsibilities:


  • Identify opportunities and maximise sales
  • Building relationships with existing customers
  • Identifying new business
  • Acting as the key person between customer and support service
  • Arranging and attending customer visits
  • Attending out of hours customer and sales events
  • Maintaining and updating the sales database
  • Undertaking outbound telesales projects
  • Preparing quotations and sales material for presentation to customers.
  • Assisting the sales desk during busy sales periods

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Good knowledge of the construction/tools and Plant industry
  • Any sales experience preferred
  • Good at building and developing networks
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • High level of integrity and trust
  • Commitment to selfdevelopment
  • Good communicator and attitude
  • Good planning and preparation skills
  • Ability to work to sales deadlines
  • The ability to build strong easygoing relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • That you are responsible, enthusiastic, reliable and show initiative.
  • That you are comfortable in a field sales environment
  • Very good PC skills including use of Excel spreadsheets
  • Some previous field sales experience essential
  • Previous experience in construction/rental preferred
  • An ability to work to deadlines
  • Good verbal and written standard of English
  • A driving licence

Package and Benefits
The package will be by negotiation and will include a basic salary of up to £40,000 + Commission + Company Car + Fuel card

  • Commission is paid quarterly
  • Progression routes through the business
