Page 1 Recruitment are excited to be working in Partnership with a growing Tech company that is redefining the Transport and Energy Market in Africa.

Due to increased demand for their services and products our client is currently on the lookout for a LeadSoftware Engineer to join their team.

Working from their Head office in Sheffield you will be tasked with growing the software development team to match their ambition to radically reimagine transport and energy in Africa.

You'll be provided the opportunity to oversee a range of disciplinesincluding infrastructure, front-end, back end and native android apps.

As the Lead your ability to interpret software design requirements, document these and manage a team to the successful delivery of internal projects to improve our client business is the aim, so interpersonal skills are critical, as well as some interestin the business model and an interest in how customers engage with their products is key.

Key Skills for the role include

Python
Cloud Servers
Distributed Database Systems
Queuing systems (such as Kafka)
Some experience of Kotlin and/or Java
Some experience of networking (e.g. sitetosite VPNs)
Experience with Linux,

Bonus Points
Any exposure to embedded systems (all embedded systems are developed in-house)
