The Role:


  • Provide parttime leadership and strategic direction for the SEN department.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to identify and assess students with SEN.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Monitor student progress and make adjustments to support plans as needed.
  • Liaise with parents, external agencies, and other professionals involved in student support.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the school's SEN provision.
  • A qualified and experienced SENCO with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and a strong commitment to inclusion.
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • The flexibility to work parttime hours
