An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Senior Leadership team for a Head of Finance.

We're looking for someone who can provide strong leadership and management of the finance and commercial team, who can work in partnership with stakeholders across the company, providing, high quality proactive advice to support and enable to achievement of the company goals.


What you'll be doing:


  • Developing, documenting, implementing, and operating financial and commercial strategy, controls, and policies as necessary and appropriate.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of financial and commercial controls to ensure that they always remain appropriate.
  • Administer the company's stakeholder pension scheme, complete end of year pension returns.
  • Monitoring and managing cash flows to maximise interest receivable.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and report on these identifying and explaining any significant trends or variances.
  • Preparing the yearend file for the auditors and overseeing the annual audit.
  • Developing and monitoring policies and processes to ensure we operate strict controls to guard against all fraud.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing direct reports to ensure consistent and sustainable results.
  • Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team on general strategic organisational development and business/sales planning.

What we're looking for:


  • Proven work experience as a Head of Finance or similar role
  • Relevant professional qualification, e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Capable of managing multiple responsibilities and able to deliver to strict deadlines.
  • Strong IT knowledge and experience
  • Effective and easy communication style, able to relate to a wide range of people.
  • Strong influencing skills and able to contribute effectively to strategy as part of the Senior Management Team
  • Able to interpret and clearly explain complex financial data to nonfinance staff, to communicate effectively at all levels.
