As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Builders' Merchant Assistant to join our team and contribute to our success.

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming sales calls, assist customers, and process orders accurately and efficiently.
• Create and process purchase orders and sales orders using our system.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder regular items as necessary to maintain inventory availability.
• Perform warehouse duties, including receiving, organising, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Assist in monthly stock checks to ensure accuracy and reconcile any discrepancies.
• Verify purchase prices on invoices against the buying price and address any discrepancies.
• Enter purchased stock items into the Sage system for inventory management.
• Create sales invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to customers.
• Enter supplier invoices, check monthly statements, and reconcile accounts.
• Assist with credit control activities, including monitoring outstanding invoices and following up on payment.

Qualifications:

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and managing inventory.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
