The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to fill the role of Energy Efficiency and Carbon Reduction Consultant to support our growing energy consultancy team.


As an award winning energy management and reduction specialist, our projects are varied and exciting and we excel at supporting our clients to help them achieve Net Zero status by reducing their energy consumption and carbon footprint.


The purpose of the role is to analyse and report on commercial and industrial client's energy usage, develop and specify energy and carbon reduction measures plus support in their implementation.

This is achieved through your education, skills and experienceto help develop projects and evidence-based reports to quantify projects moving forward.

What qualifications and experience would I need?

  • Masters Degree or PHD level of education in either mechanical engineering or sustainable energy and environment (desirable)
  • Full driving licence
  • IPMVP qualified (desirable), however training available.
  • Min 2 years prior experience in the energy management industry
  • High level of competency in designing and specifying at least one of the areas specified as follows: Knowledge of HVAC, motor specification, power quality management, LED lighting, boiler systems,
  • BMS systems and CHP systems.
  • Good attention to detail
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Have a strong understanding of energy efficiency
The Role

  • Analysis of the energy monitoring data and information gathered from the energy surveys to construct an energy management document which will then be used as the energy plan.
  • Review client documentation
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical engineering calculations + design to ensure the correct solution is specified.
  • Carry out design of systems for proposed projects.
  • Research materials and equipment, obtain quotations and prepare costed projects.
  • Prepare proposal and reports for energy and carbon reduction strategies.
  • Support in the presentation of reports/proposals to the client.
  • Liaise with the project stakeholders and carry out project hand over to the installation team.
  • Research, develop and maintain awareness & understanding of existing & new solutions within the marketplace and the Energy sector.
