OISC Level 3 Advisor / Immigration Lawyer - £42,000 + Bonus and Benefits - Glasgow City Centre, Scotland

We are looking to recruit an experienced OISC Level 3 Advisor, or Immigration Solicitor who is willing to regulate with OISC to work with long established Immigration Services firm.

For this position, we are looking for applicants who are both qualified and motivated.

We have a team of immigration specialists who have a proven track record of assisting corporate and individual clients and are currently regulated at OISC Level 3.

Workingalongside a team of immigration specialists, you will handle a variety of caseloads up to OISC Level 3 competence.

**Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of an OISC Level 3 Advisor / Immigration Lawyer include, but are not limited to:

Preparation, submission and ongoing case management of appeals and attendance at Tribunal when required.
Ensuring all contact with the client and any other action taken in respect of cases is suitably updated on attendance notes and matter folders in our legal database.
Liaise with Immigration Authorities, other agencies and persons as required.
Interview and advise clients regarding Immigration law, procedure, and practice. Provide guidance to clients on completion of documents.
Attend clients in prison and detention centres and surgeries on occasions where appropriate.
Keep up to date at all times with ongoing changes in Immigration/Asylum law by reading/browsing, reviewing any published UK Visas and Immigration updates and/or Statements of Changes to Immigration law and attending training events.
Complete all records in connection with casework to meet O.I.S.C. and company requirements.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of an OISC Level 3 Advisor / Immigration Lawyer are:

OISC qualification 3, or Law degree / diploma and willingness to register at Level 3 with OISC.
12month minimum experience of working in the immigration sector to OISC standards at Level Excellent drafting skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
A confident and determined approach.
A high degree of selfmotivation and drive.
Ability to work to strict deadlines.
Be organised and methodical in your approach.
Knowledge of Hindu, Punjabi or Urdu would be beneficial but not essential.
