Description

Head of Sales Pool & Spa UK - Europe

Purpose:
Developing sales and leading the Channel development.

Responsible for driving improvements in both direct sales to National Accounts and distributor performance in UK and Europe sales territory.

This role is a combination of both business development and existing customer growth.


Specifications:

You will be an experienced international Sales Manager, with a track record in National Account business development and distributor management.


You will have the ability to protect and build product sales in multiple markets as well as develop new relationships where a long-term, partnership-led approach is required.


You will have the capability to lead a Channel sales strategy, delivering sustainable sales growth in line with company strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:


Business Development:


  • Research, identify and implement effective and profitable new routes to market
  • Quantify market potential by geographical area and customer segment and set realistic priorities to proactively engage with and sell into these markets
  • Develop sales forecasts and implement actions to meet or exceed forecasts and KPIs; taking full ownership of the sales cycle and pipeline
  • Work closely with the global sales team to explore opportunities with key accounts based on successes in other territories
  • Initiate and lead continual crossfunctional problemsolving activities and suggest product development opportunities to allow access to new markets
  • Provide timely monthly sales forecasts and reports for the region.

Marketing and Technical Research:


  • Establish marketing support requirements to help drive the business strategy and effectively communicate these to the marketing team
  • Engage with key decision makers and/or influencers in the target markets
  • Identify and attend workshops or events which support business strategy.

Leadership:


  • Manage the internal sales colleague, using the company's contribution discussion system, providing clear feedback and structured staff development pathways
  • Lead and manage the full employee life cycle.

Experience / Skills

  • Demonstrate experience as a BDM or relevant alternative role, with experience of growing existing customers and developing new business
  • Have experience of selling to end users and channel partners internationally
  • French speaking is desirable.
  • Demonstrate technical credibility internally and externally, possessing the ability to discuss with customers' technical teams and utilise problemsolving skills to address customer needs
  • Have experience of working in a target driven environment, selling technical products with a proven track record of achieving sales targets in a B2B role
  • Show strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills
  • Be a strong influencer with an ability to cope with uncertainty
  • Be a team player with a continuous improvement mindset and a good degree of innovation.

Salary:
From £28,000.00 per year
