Starting salary
£10ph - £15ph dependent on qualifications & experience


Hours of work
Required for shifts, 7 day availability required (usually 48hr residential shifts, but this may change)

Joining our friendly team based in Liverpool, you'll be responsible for ensuring our children's home is a safe, loving and a innovative environment.


Supporting the House Manager in the care and delivery of all our operations, including parental guidance responsibilities, hygiene and domestic roles, and daily administrative duties.

You'll be on the ball, reviewing daily tasks, monitoring young people's whereabouts, communicating with the wider team efficiently.

And as the final point of call, you'll respond to the needs of the young people, and resolve any issues that may arise.

Experience of assessing the needs of the children followed by coordinating plans to ensure all needs are met (Desirable)

The ability to keep records in line with both statutory and company requirements (Essential)

The ability to encourage, motivate and care for young people, as well as maintain boundaries and identifying any concerns young people face in today's society (Essential)

Awareness of and ability to undertake a range of domestic duties (Essential)

Full UK driving licence

NVQ level 3 in Children's and Young People's workforce (If you have this qualification you will be on £12ph) (Desirable)

Flexibility towards working patterns/shifts (shifts could range from mornings, days, evenings, nights, 48hr residential stays and weekends) (Essential)

Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills (Essential)

Experience of working with young people that have social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties (Desirable)


About you


Ideally, you'll already have experience working as part of a residential care team, preferably in a children's home environment, and enjoy getting the best out of people.


Your attention to detail and parental approach means you can be relied upon to create and contribute towards a positive culture, even during the busiest times.


You're a logical thinker with initiative and the ability to multitask, allowing you to be flexible in your approach to varied responsibilities.


An excellent communicator, you're confident engaging with all kinds of people, and able to build effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external colleagues.


Above all, you're an outstanding team player and you know what it takes to leave a lasting and positive impression.
