Middleware Infrastructure Specialist

As a Barclays Middleware Infrastructure Specialist, you will provide SME and 3rd level support, primarily driving the strategic adoption of ping Identity products and upgrade & transform existing utilities for wider adoption within the Bank.

The role provides exposure to leading edge software technology and underlying platforms operating mission critical services to the group.

Working Flexibly

What will you be doing?:


  • Operating as a Middleware Auth Services Engineering expert, providing key input into solution design, life cycle of variety of IAM technologies
  • Providing SME and 3rd level support for Auth Services technologies
  • Supporting the continued availability, effectiveness, and risk compliance of the infrastructure
  • Managing the full change lifecycle from initial request for change to deployment and review
  • Maintaining or enhancing infrastructure components and services
  • Ensuring that business objectives are met, and deliverables achieved to agreed timescale, budget and quality

What we're looking for:


  • Must have prior experience in design, secure builds, implementation, and migration the Ping Identity Technologies
  • Proven experience with Ping Directory, Ping Access, Ping Federate
  • Must have prior experience in design, secure builds, implementation, and migration on IBM Technologies
  • Proven experience in IBM Security Access Manager, IBM Security Directory Server, IBM Security Identity Manager

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux, Windows
  • Working knowledge of Shell, Perl, Go Lang & Python scripting
  • Working knowledge of Chef, Ansible
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins, Git

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford.
