Description

The MDM Co-ordinator will work with a range of clinical and non-clinical staff in urology and stakeholder teams in NHS Lothian.


Working closely with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team and associated clerical staff, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the timely presentation of patients referred to Multi-disciplinary Team Meetings (MDM).


The postholder will identify any barriers to individual patient pathway and escalate to the appropriate manager in accordance with local policy.


The post holder will facilitate the collection, analysis, and presentation of audit data recording key data items to assist in monitoring the care of patients.


To co-ordinate regular multidisciplinary team meetings (MDMs) for referred patients to ensure that the journey of each patient runs smoothly and is progressed in a seamless manner ensuring that the data to support effective and timely management of patients is available for consideration at the regular meetings.


To monitor follow up of patients post RARP though maintaining and using the available database: data entry, monitoring and retrieval to support the safe and effective care of patients.

Communication with the clinical team and patients.
