The Role:

Our client are looking for a suitable
Legal Assistant to help provide support in the following:

  • Providing direct support to members of the Wills & Probate Department and working principally under the direct instruction and supervision of a Solicitor or Trainee Solicitor within the Department and achieving performance targets as set by the Practice.
  • To provide a client/Practice interface to show the required level of client care.
  • To ensure the confidentiality of all the firm's and clients' documentation and information.
  • To use a high degree of selfmanagement and initiative appropriate to a Legal Assistant.
  • To positively promote the firm and its quality of service to clients, raising the quality level wherever possible.

Duties:


  • To undertake the preparation of standard letters, preparation of Lasting Power of Attorney documents and other relevant documentation (after training).
  • To undertake the daily opening of files and dealing with ID and AML checks.
  • To undertake digital dictation when required.
  • To attend client meetings with Fee Earners, including the preparation of attendance notes thereafter.
  • To make appointments, arrange meetings and maintain the diary for yourself and your principal.
  • To prepare meeting rooms as necessary and arrange for the tidying and clearance of rooms at the conclusion of meetings and providing refreshments when asked to do so.
  • To make effective use of the firms' case management systems.
  • To attend clients both in person and on the telephone in a professional and friendly manner ensuring that quality of service levels are to the highest standards.
  • To ensure the confidentiality of all the firm's and clients' documentation and information.
  • To undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards selfdevelopment.
  • To follow internal methods, systems and procedures.

Hours:


  • Mon-Fri: 9:00am 5.15pm and1 hour lunch
  • Fully office based at the Bromsgrove office
