Description

Full time Personal Care/Support person to help a young 64yr old intelligent man with quadriplegic disability lead a full and more independent life.


The job is based in the family home and involves all areas of personal care including bathing, dressing, moving and handling - getting into a wheelchair for the day's activities - some work, mainly social and recreational.

Help is needed with drinks throughout the day as well as the preparation of meals - he has a keen interest in food.


The family lead busy lives and this role is integral to the wellbeing of the home - it will involve some miscellaneous work around the house.


Previous experience is not essential, as specific training will be given initially and ongoing as necessary, but a real desire to help this man live his life to as 'full-an-extent' as possible is a must; as is a sense of humour.

Applicants need to be fit and healthy, caring, reliable, keen to work, trustworthy and self-motivating. Driving license a bonus

The position is permanent


Salary:
£11.51 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 37 per week
