Supply Chain Planner

Salary:
£32,000 - £37,000 per annum


Bonus:
An annual discretionary bonus based on both the Company and your personal performance.


Working week:
Typically Monday-Friday, with TOIL for days beyond 5/7

Location:
Northgate Distribution Centre, Caxton Close, Wigan, WN3 6XU.

Start date:
March 2024 (Flexible to fit with current commitments)

Glass Half Full Drinks Wholesale have a large portfolio of festivals and events to supply in 2024 from the UKs largest music festivals, premium events and fixed venues with crowds spanning from 10,000 to over 100,000 people every weekend. _
  • We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Supply Chain Planner who will assist with Supplier Ordering and Processing of Internal Depot Orders to maximise efficiency. Having excellent communication and organisational skills, you will develop relationships with suppliers and internal stock controllers._


We are seeking someone of a high calibre with FMCG experience who is dedicated and passionate, striving to deliver excellence.

You will be bright, energetic, and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal, analytic, and influencing skills.


The Role

  • To procure the supply of goods in an efficient and effective manner
  • Negotiating cost prices to achieve best prices and meet department KPI's.
  • Set up of new products on company WMS.
  • Build and manage relationships with our suppliers to minimise OOS'.
  • Manage the supply chain to ensure all requirements are delivered to timelines, meeting the needs of the Company and customers.
  • Manage the flow of goods from suppliers to customers.
  • Manage the company's stock holding each month between our accounts department and stock control in the warehouse.
  • Direct ownership for planning, ordering, and expediting of finished goods into UK Warehouses with external and group suppliers.
  • Proactively manage the finished stock inventory to remain within the designated stock parameters
  • Drive towards zero stock outs and increase product availability.
  • Improve customer fill rate defining production priorities with suppliers.
  • Update all inventory parameters / optimise safety stocks and supplier minimum order quantities. Maintain accurate data.
  • Collaborate with Sales on new product developments.
  • Provide support to the commercial team regarding margin reporting.
  • Provide the business with visibility of future stock requirements.
  • Manage and track all stock transfers that take place outside the standard process.

The Person:


  • 3 years experience in a similar role, 2 years in supply chain planning
  • Experience in the UK or EU export market
  • FMCG experience required
  • Forecasting experience advantageous
  • Experience raising PO's and processing invoices.
  • Ideally CIPS qualified, (or working towards) or equivalent.
  • Experience of WMS will be an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to multitask and work with an array of stakeholders.
  • Be decisive and use initiative.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a larger team.
  • Understands the necessity of maintaining high quality health & safety standards.
  • Manages workload effectively, trusted to make actions without prompt.
  • Committed to continuous improvement, a willingness to progress their career, projects a professional positive attitude to their work.
  • You accept feedback and are adaptable, flexible with your personal approach to achieve better communication as well as increased communication with senior management.
