The starting salary for this role is £26,080 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

An opportunity has arisen to join the Children's Business Support Service. This role will provide personal assistant style support to the Assistant Director of the Children's Resources Service.

This service consists of Fostering and Adoption, Children'sResidential Homes, Hope, No Wrong Door, Occupational Therapy, Contact Service and Short Breaks.


In this role you will be required to communicate in a clear and concise manner, as the role will include engaging with a range of stakeholders, both internally and externally, and other agencies and representative organisations on behalf of the AssistantDirector.


Given the sensitive nature of the work, you will need to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion together with the ability to establish successful relationships.

Tact, initiative and prioritisation skills, as well as the ability to performto the highest of professional standards will be critical to this role as you will need to deliver complex tasks through multiple workstreams.

Working as part of the Business Support Team, your day-to-day responsibilities will be to provide high level administrative support to the Assistant Director in relation to managing, organising, prioritising and co-ordinating the work


This will include:

  • Complex electronic diary management organising meetings/events
  • Coordinating complex report documents and presentations
  • Supporting the preparation for key meetings, including managing forward plans, producing agendas, and minute taking
  • Tracking and recording progress against actions
  • Previous experience working as a Personal or Executive Assistant
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders
  • A good track record in building strong and trusted relationships
  • Impeccable professional standards, working proactively and autonomously with excellent attention to detail
  • High organisation skills with the ability to effectively prioritise multiple/conflicting demands.
