Job title:
HR Administrator


Pay:
£14.50 per hour


Duration of assignment: 6 months at least - possibly longer with the opportunity to go permanent for the right person.


Hours:

  • 8am 4:30pm Monday to Thursday
  • 8am 3:30pm Friday (you will still be paid till 4:30pm on this day)
  • 40hrs per week
  • 30 mins paid break

Your role as a HR Administrator:

In this role you will be working closely with the Senior HR Manager, dealing with absences, payroll, and general HR duties.

You'll be working to tight deadlines, setting up new starters, and handling sensitive and confidential information.

Required skils and experience:

  • Proven HR experience
  • Excellent IT skills, mail merging, great knowledge of the Microsoft office suite, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Able to communicate clearly with both managers and workers alike with tact and diplomacy
  • Able to organise and prioritise your work load.
  • Have knowledge of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation
  • Ability to support inexperienced managers with understanding Company Policies and Procedures
  • Knowledge of SAP or other computerised HR system (KRONOS / Workday) advantageous but not compulsory
  • Able to understand the diverse nature of the business
  • Experience of working within an HR Department preferred
  • Experience of a manufacturing organisation and its supporting disciplines (desirable)

Main duties:

  • Supporting the HR Advisor and Snr HR Manager to advise People Leaders / Managers on HR issues, in accordance with employment law, best practice, policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with the Equal Opportunities Policy at all times.
  • To liaise with the Business Compliance Officer in relation to Ethics.
  • Coordinate and support the recruitment process and advise and support Managers to ensure the Company employs the most suitably qualified individuals.
  • Ensure all Associates are booked on New Starter Induction.
  • Support the Snr HR Manager in coordinating Leadership site training and development activities, in accordance with Training and Development requirements.
  • Ensure Company Attendance Management Policy is adhered to and applied consistently across the site. Advise managers on absence issues, ensuring longterm corrective solutions.
  • Support the HR Advisor and Snr HR Manager in ensuring HR policies, procedures and site rules are communicated appropriately; ensuring key information is passed on in an effective manner.
  • Attend IECG meetings to take minutes and follow up actions
  • Coordinate the utilisation of the Occupational Health service.
  • Provide advice and support to all employees across the site on HR and employment matters including policy interpretation.
  • Ensure that HR information is kept up to date, and in accordance with Data Protection Legislation.
