£32,876 rising to £36,229 per annum through annual increments being paid each year. (Pro rata for part time applicants)

31 / 08 / 2027 at which point your role could be extended, made permanent, or you could be redeployed to our pool of special project managers / advisers

The Role
You will bring your experience of engagement, co-production and organisational skills to maximise public impact of the most ambitious nature recovery and people engagement programme in Wales.
You will join a team of four other NRW staff in the Natur am Byth central team, reporting to the Natur am Byth programme manager.
You will work with each partner to support the planning and delivery of their engagement activities across 11 place-based projects.
Over 20 programme staff are employed across the ten Natur am Byth partners, many of which have responsibility for delivering people engagement in their project areas.
You will co-ordinate a number of centrally managed activities that connect people to nature using a wide range of techniques including digital media, arts-based outreach, natural heritage training, and oral history.
This will require collaboration with the Natur am Byth communications officer and external partners such as the Arts Council of Wales and Public Health Wales.
You're experience in engagement with people from a wide range of backgrounds will ensure Natur am Byth reaches a diverse audience.
You will deliver activities that result in wellbeing benefits and monitor outcomes to ensure that a wide range of people from different backgrounds benefit from an increased connection to nature.
Qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills required:
Experience of engagement work with a wide variety of stakeholders/audiences, including the development and delivery of communications plans and partnerships.
Educated to degree level, or with equivalent relevant work experience/other qualifications. Fully IT literate and evidence of being fully conversant in preparing digital inputs.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop and manage strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, from practitioners to policy makers.
Effective self-management and organisational skills, including the ability to work within a project framework and manage challenging workloads, plus the ability to support and promote innovation, and demonstrate initiative and commitment.
A qualification and/or experience in stakeholder facilitation and/or participatory techniques (or willingness to undertake).
