SALARY AND SCHEDULE
5 working days, 8AM-6PM, £27,600 a year

MAIN DUTIES
- Provide a safe, caring, stimulating environment for the children, in line with the EYFS
- Be the key person for a group of children
- Plan, organize and execute a wide variety of activities for the children that are suitable to their individual stages of development
- Ensure that child records are accurate, wellwritten and uptodate, including learning plans, reports, observations, accident/incident forms etc
- Build relationships and functioning partnerships with the parents
- Ensure the provision of a highquality environment to meet the needs of individual children regardless of any disabilities, family backgrounds or medical history
- Ensure the maintenance of adequate standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the children attending the nursery. This includes changing nappies and toilet training
- Ensure the maintenance of adequate standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery rooms
- Ensure that someone known and agreed by the nursery and parent collects the child
- Assist with serving and washing up the children's lunches & snacks
- Participate in staff training and annual assessments of progress
- Adhere to and understand all policies/procedures and risk assessments
- Respect the confidentiality of all information received
- Carry out any other duties requested by the Manager, Deputy Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioners that may reasonably be expected from a Nursery Practitioner
- Represent the nursery by always upholding its values and standards, both at work and in public
CRITERIA
- Level 3 qualification or above
- A clear understanding of how children develop
- A clear understanding of the ways children enjoy learning
- A good knowledge of the EYFS
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible
- A cando attitude
- Strong communicator with both children and adults
Salary:
Up to £27,630.00 per year
