Estimator (Civils)

Shropshire

Up to £70,000 Per annum

0800 to 17:00 Monday to Friday

Potential for hybrid working

Novax Recruitment is proud to be representing their client, a leading Civils / Engineering company in their search for a Civils Estimator to work out of their office in Shropshire.

The successful applicant will produce detailed and competitive tenders as well as the measurement of tender drawings, reviewing specifications and issuing RFIs.

Responsibilities:

Measuring and Quantity Take-Off from drawings
Producing Bills of Quantities
Preparation and negotiation of tendering submission
Visit sites UKwide and record information that may affect pricing i.e. access, location of services, etc.
Preparing packages to send out inquiries to suppliers and subcontractors including the relevant drawings, specifications, etc.
Analysing subcontractor quotations and checking inclusions and exclusions
Producing Tender report
Attending pre and posttender interviews, client meetings
Preparing outline construction programs

Requirements:

Experience in the construction industry (groundworks beneficial)
Understand construction methods, specifications, and the ability to read, understand and measure drawings.
High capability of extracting quantities from drawings and ensure that accurate pricing is delivered within specified time frames
Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
Experienced in BoM and BoQ is a must.
