The Growth Company's Education and Skills team has an exciting opportunity for a 2 Construction Tutors to delivery sector-based courses and to develop, promote, deliver, and assess training to maximise learning outcomes for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote courses and recruit to maximise occupancy levels
- Carry out initial and ongoing assessment to ensure students are on the right programme and receiving the right level of support
- Plan and design appropriate training programmes and interventions, considering individual participant requirements to ensure differentiation of learning
- Adopt effective use of new technologies and digital platforms
- Deliver highquality, engaging training to encourage participants to attend and complete their hub actions and activities
- Deliver interventions and programmes at the hub itself, but also on an outreach basis at other community and voluntary sector venues
- If applicable, prepare participants to successfully undertake assignments or sit tests/exams to maintain high success rates
- Complete contractual paperwork in line with funding
- Monitor and track students' progress, including through reviews to ensure high achievement rates
- Provide structured feedback and set development objectives
- Moderate coursework and liaise with if applicable, external moderators to ensure that awarding body standards and deadlines are met
About You:
- Experience of teaching and learning quality standards; Ofsted
- A warm, approachable, and empathetic style and the ability to establish a rapport and build relationships with customers that support their progression to sustained employment
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and procedures
Skills Required:
- Motivating, inspiring and supportive personality with a flexible approach
- Experience of teaching and learning quality standards; in especially Ofsted
- Ability to plan and organise workload effectively
