The Talent Acquisition team, together with the Corporate HR team including, HR, Learning and Organisational Development and the Colleague Experience team make up the People Team at the NHSBSA.

We work together as one, collaborating to develop the best people initiatives and leverage the talent and skills that we all have.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Coordinator to join our Talent Acquisition team.

The team work largely remotely, however our office base is in Newcastle upon Tyne and there will be a requirement to attend the office for work or meetings as required.

This will include dealing with a range of People queries, from both internal and external customers and handling highly confidential and sensitive information, through managing the HR inbox's.

Co-ordinating and improving HR processes to ensure a smooth flow in relation to recruitment and people-related tasks - throughout HR and other departments - in areas such as job evaluation and establishment control.

In this role, you are accountable for:

  • The production and distribution of confidential correspondence, prioritising accuracy and timely delivery and advising on queries which may arise as result of said
  • Liaise with internal departments such as Commercial and Finance, to raise purchase orders to be authorised.
  • Driving the improvement of the job evaluation process, ensuring that requests for both new roles and re-bandings are handled efficiently. Attending consistency panel meetings to record and feedback outcomes as required. This will include maintaining detailed and auditable records of evaluation requests and results and communicating results to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Attending meetings as and when required on behalf of HR, Reward & Recognition and Talent Acquisition teams.
  • Working in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition team, managing a review of all NHSBSA job descriptions, working across business areas with managers and the HR Advisors to ensure that an up-to-date, version-controlled job description on accessible templates is held on file for each role within NHSBSA.
  • Managing the establishment control process on behalf of HR, ensuring that all requests are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Liaising with managers, Finance and HR Shared Services to ensure a smooth end-to-end process which complies with ESR, proactively seeking solutions to resolve any issues.
  • Supporting the HR Advisory and Business Partnering team in the management of employee relations, acting as a formal note-taker during grievance, investigation and disciplinary meetings and distributing required correspondence when required.
  • Contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of a number of people processes, enabling effectiveness for both the People Team and colleagues across the organisation.
  • Working within and giving advice on relevant policies and procedures and contributing to the review of these in line with employment legislation, NHS Developments, Best Practice and business need.
  • Planning, coordinating and attending meetings and activities such as training events and careers fairs, liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers where required.
