Overview:
Energus, an award-winning people and skills organisation, is looking to expand its People & Skills Team.

Energus has over 13 years' experience of delivering high-quality graduate and Apprenticeship programmes on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and wider nuclear sector.

The nuclear sector plays a key role in the United Kingdom's ambitions for energy production and carbon reduction.

The recently published British Energy Security Strategy highlights the critical role nuclear energy and technology will play in the future of the UK economy.

This will require new talent, new thinking, and new skills.

With the recent investment in facilities and programmes Energus is ready to support and develop the nuclear workforce of the future.

As an integral member of the People and Skills team, the main purpose of this role is to:

  • Be responsible for the engagement and delivery of sustainable Cyber Security training programmes both locally and regionally.
  • Be the main deliverer of Level 3 programmes in IT/Cyber Security and to support any related deliveries or development of training programmes in line with the requirements of the business.
Reporting to the Head of People and Skills, the post holder will also secure effective and forward-thinking stakeholder relationships with:

  • A member of the People and Skills Team
  • Energus General Manager, Finance Manager, Head of People and Skills and Events and Communications Lead
  • Energy Coast UTC (ECUTC)
  • Lakes College West Cumbria (LCWC)
  • Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA)
  • National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC)
  • Stakeholders of the CyberFirst Programme
  • Clients & Stakeholders using the Energus facility
  • Suppliers of content, resources and support for all aspects of Energus People and Skills Programmes
  • Delegation set out in the Scheme of Delegation agreed by the Energus Board

Hours:37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday (8:30-16:30)


Salary:
£36,750 per annum

Responsibilities:


Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a sustainable and engaging educational programme for students enrolled on a level 3 qualification in Cyber/IT Security.
  • Make best use of technologies/platforms to ensure an inclusive and engaging lesson while ensuring progression of student learning.
  • Work with key programme stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of the programme and its delivery.
  • To work in collaboration with the Head of People and Skills on the development of a successful programme of Cyber Security Skills including NCSC CyberFirst STEM programme sustainably year on year.
  • Stakeholder engagement within industry & education, to support the successful recruitment of adequate student numbers for delivery.
  • Engagement with Cyber Graduates & Apprentices to manage successful CyberFirst delivery.
  • Delivery of CyberFirst Programme content both locally & nationally (where required).
  • Engagement and school liaison to recruit students onto the CyberFirst programme.
  • Company engagement regarding Cyber related opportunities.
  • Consulted and informed on company policy and procedure in relation with Cyber Security best practices and resilience.
  • Inform staff on Cyber Security Best Practices.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR (Data Protection) and Energus document retention schedule

Qualifications:

  • HND (Level 5) in IT, networks and security or related field, (or relevant experience).
  • PGCE or Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
  • Flexible with strong communication skills & the ability to portray technical aspects of IT & Cyber Security.
  • Good, rounded knowledge on technical areas of IT & Cyber Security.
  • Ability to work with students aged 13 or over.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Enthusiastic, selfmotivated, and outgoing.
  • Able to establish productive relationships with people at all levels.
