Benton SEN Primary School is seeking a dynamic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and contribute to the success of our students.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide onetoone or small group support to students with SEN, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support the overall development of students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create differentiated learning materials and activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Support students during transitions between activities and provide assistance with personal care if required.
  • Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to monitor and assess students' progress.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special education are an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
