Breakfast Server

16-18 hours per week

National minimum wage

6 am stat 11 am finish most days


Job Description:


As a Breakfast Server, your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for guests during breakfast hours.

You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the breakfast area, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness within the dining area.

Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming and efficient atmosphere for guests.


Responsibilities:

1.

set up the breakfast area prior to service, ensuring all necessary supplies, such as cutlery, condiments, and beverages, are well-stocked.


  • Greet guests warmly and assist them in finding suitable seating arrangements.
  • Provide menus to guests and offer recommendations or suggestions based on their preferences.
  • Take orders accurately and promptly, ensuring special requests or dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen staff.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any concerns or complaints, seeking assistance from the management team when necessary.
  • Clear and clean tables efficiently, ensuring that used dishes, utensils, and glassware are promptly removed.
  • Restock supplies, such as food items, condiments, and utensils, as needed during the breakfast service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including wiping down tables, chairs, and counters, and sweeping or vacuuming the floor.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment for guests.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including kitchen staff and other servers, to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.
  • Handle cash and process guest payments accurately, following established procedures.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Type:
Part-time


Salary:
£7.43-£10.46 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Glasgow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
  • Bartending: 1 year (preferred)
