Role Summary


An experienced, ambitious, and proactive individual, responsible for a portfolio of OTC Commodities Sales products with a focus on Environmental Products.

Intermediate level position with the ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team and directly engaging with clients.

Commercial ability to maintain good relationship with clients and find new ones to bring flow business.


Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in and good understanding of global commodity markets and, in particular, European Environmental and Energy markets.
  • Good knowledge of financial derivatives and how these can be used/structured to help clients to manage their underlying commodity price risks.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven track record of sound judgement.
  • Experience of the infrastructural support required to efficiently support a Commodity derivative sales business.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
  • FCA Certification
  • Language skills: English required and other European languages desirable.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Provide highquality sales coverage across the EMEA region for OTC Commodities clients of Marex Solutions, dealing in OTC (bilaterally traded) commodity products, in particular Environmental derivatives.
  • Create value and capture revenues from existing client base and over time, the individual will be expected to build and manage their own direct client base, contributing to the growth of the EMEA OTC Commodities business.
  • Work closely with brokers across Marex, and other divisions of the firm (e.g Clearing, CSC Commodities) in driving synergies and potential new business opportunities.
  • Liaise with Internal Stakeholders across the business (Credit / Compliance / Legal / Onboarding / Ops / Trading / Risk) to ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures with regards to daytoday business activity and client communication.
  • The individual will be directly corresponding with clients which typically includes corporates, banks, trading houses, and some institutional clients.
  • Supporting senior team members with coverage of existing clients, onboarding of new clients, and business development workflows such as assisting with the setting up new products.
  • Responsible for assisting with the onboarding of any new client relationships and maintaining of existing client relationships, assisting with support processes as required by colleagues, and engaging and updating clients.
  • Working efficiently and supporting with making efficiencies e.g. assisting in the preparation of any new required frameworks.
  • Collaboration with central operations functions which support the trading role including but not limited to Operations and Technology.
  • Strategising to increase P&L, requiring analysis of markets and products, and seek to find opportunities to synergise with other areas of the Hedging Solutions business such as the Agri, Metals and FX teams to identify crossselling opportunities.
