The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Operational Risk Management (ORM) team is responsible for independently assessing, reviewing and overseeing the management of Operational Risk by the first line of defense.

Operational Risk Management is part of Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR), within the Risk Management and Compliance organization.

CCOR maintains oversight of the firm's compliance, conduct and operational risk management activities and is responsiblefor the design and execution of the CCOR program, which consists of the second line of defense's responsibilities in managing the firm's compliance, conduct, and operational risk.

The programme has been structured and Action Plans agreed and the programme now needs to be mobilised, PMO set-up and execution managed

This role will be dedicated to the ORM Framework and Function (ORM F&F)


Delivery Pillar and will involve: 1/the execution of a number of remedial actions in conjunction with other stakeholders in the firm and 2/the ORM F&F Delivery Pillar PMO working closelywith the Programme PMO to ensure that milestone planning, status reporting, RAID logs are implemented.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with the ORM team to execute ORM F&F remediation actions against the 6 pillars of the Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) program (Govern, Identify, Measure, Monitor & Test, Manage, Report)
  • Oversee the sustainability of the remedial actions implemented
  • Review and retain the necessary documentation to demonstrate the ORM Section 166 findings have been addressed
  • Prepare documentation packs relating to ORM F&F Delivery Pillar remediation for internal, audit and external reviews. Present these results and respond to the challenges raised in various reviews.
  • Prepare ORM F&F Delivery Pillar status updates for the Programme Executive Oversight Group (EOG), Programme Steering Group (PSG) and Delivery Pillar Working Group (DPWG).

Experience / Skills:


  • Experience in Operational Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, Oversight & Control or other related discipline required
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills to be used in operational evaluation and interpretation of compliance information
  • Able to follow complex methods, processes and procedures in diverse routine and nonroutine tasks
  • Able to handle highly confidential information and material in a professional manner
  • Strong priority management and multitasking skills required
  • Able to operate in a matrixed environment; must be able to directly influence change, negotiate, and appropriately escalate
  • Strong communication, presentation, project management and leadership skills required
  • Highest level of professionalism, selfmotivation and sense of urgency
  • Flexible and able to work in a fastpaced environment to effectively meet deadlines
  • MS Suite (Powerpoint, Excel), Sharepoint, Alteryx (desirable)
