Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with Chief Operating Officer to complete any general maintenance tasks on the Firms own branches and offices to a high quality within agreed timescales
- To be the first point of contact from staff seeking support and assistance
- Manage online facilities maintenance management reporting system (Sysaid). Assigning works orders, updating system data and provide overall system administration
- Dealing with contractors on a day to day basis
- To attend firm properties and assess requirements to enable quotations to be prepared for external contractors
- Identify and manage materials required to complete tasks
- To be able to communicate effectively and promptly with teams, employees, and management
- Vehicle will be provided, must ensure it is properly maintained and kept in good condition
- To be aware of limitations to ensure that no works are carried out that you are not qualified or able to do
- To be aware of Health and Safety requirements to ensure that all work is completed in a safe manner
- To act as a main point of contact for branch staff on Health and Safety issues
- Attend Health and Safety and Environmental internal meetings to discuss ongoing initiatives
- Attend any training courses as required
- Weekly reporting to Line Manager in person
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential
- Good standard of education
Desirable.
- Health and Safety (NEBOSH) or at least a knowledge of this
- Official qualification in a relevant field (e.g. City and Guilds)
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential
- Basic Knowledge of Buildings
- At least 3 years previous maintenance or facilities experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
Desirable
- Official qualification in relevant field (i.e. city & guilds)
KNOWLEDGE:
Essential
- Practical understanding of property and contractors.
- Using Microsoft suite of products including Excel and Word
- Building management and facility and maintenance operations
- Maintenance management software
