What you'll be doing


As a vital part of our team, you'll be ensuring that our guest and membership centre, known as the Faraday Centre, receives nothing short of excellent quality first-line assistance.

Your role will be to facilitate an exceptional service for our members and their guests, surpassing their expectations at every opportunity

We're looking for someone who exudes professionalism, representing outstanding customer service skills and awareness, backed by previous experience in customer-facing roles.

Your expert interpersonal skills will enable seamless communication across all levels, complemented by your proficiency in handling switchboard operations.

A strong work ethic coupled with a positive attitude will be the cornerstone of your approach, ensuring success in planning, organizing, delegating tasks, and executing duties efficiently.

Being a team player is paramount, alongside your ability to adapt quickly and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ideally, you'll have a good understanding of the events industry. Flexibility is key, as the role may require working evenings and weekends.

A little more about the role

  • To book Members and Guests into the Sky Visitor package, register them in the appropriate way, (also issue access cards, items)
  • To take enquiries from Members for meeting rooms and enter bookings into SuperSaas or into the Rendezvous booking system.
  • To be an exceptional and professional ambassador for IET London: Savoy Place in all your business relationships.
  • To be familiar with the day's event business and provide assistance as required.
  • To ensure that the IET London: Savoy Place Team understands and works to our core values.
  • To establish, maintain and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • To ensure that all staff maintain the highest quality of guest's service standards and highlight any training needs that may be required. The objective is to exceed guest, supplier and fellow colleagues expectations at all times whether in operations or administration tasks.
  • Promoting and monitoring the member's Terms of Use.
  • To liaise with the Audio-Visual Manager and AV Team to ensure they provide an excellent standard of service.
  • To liaise with the Catering Team to ensure they provide an excellent standard of service.
  • To assist with the beverage area and ensuring the area is always presentable. This includes clearing used items.
  • Assisting with the measurement of SLAs and KPIS each month and via BDRC

A little more about what we're looking for

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Well presented, with excellent customer service skills and awareness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Planning, organising and delegating tasks and duties
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends where required
  • Experience the processing of Credit Card payments
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude

Desirable Criteria:


  • Experience in hotels with conference/events and banqueting
  • Experience of using a computerised booking system
  • Trained First Aider
