The role
As a Planning Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll support planning and resourcing of work, at task, project, and business levels.


Day to day, you'll:

  • Support Project Managers in the identification, planning and scheduling of resource requirements (people/facilities/materials etc.) required to implement the programme.
  • Support the development of accurate and uptodate financial, schedule and resource estimates to ensure the project is accurately planned and reported
  • Support Project Manager with project controls and agreed budgets (linkage/validation to estimate) and the control of forecast and actual costs against that budget.
  • Support, manage and develop current / key planning tools to maximise the control and accuracy of programme delivery
  • Lead on monitor and control of work using standard reports and KPI's. Timely release and closure of change codes and the highlighting of issues

Essential experience of the Planning Specialist,

  • Experience in a Technical / Engineering or Planning environment
  • Demonstrable knowledge or experience of working with common project tools (MS Office, MS excel, Microsoft Projec) Will need to be confident with lookups etc and manipulation of data in spreadsheets
  • Experience in Scheduling/Estimating


This role provides hybrid working with at least two days per week on site however, you must be able and willing to increase site attendance as and when required.

You will be required to be onsite full-time at the end of the financial year.
