US law firm is looking to hire a new junior IT team member to work as a Junior Helpdesk Assistant.

Our client is looking for 6 months + experience from a similar role either from a law firm or professional services environment.


Junior Helpdesk Assistant duties include:

  • Manage workflow by inputting accurate problem description and resolution data in incident management system for all calls received.
  • Run scheduled system tests and performs requested change control testing.
  • Monitor network and system alerts and respond appropriately based on established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Produce shift status reports and turnover logs.
  • Applies standard software configurations to PCs.
  • Maintains inventory control including software upgrades, and annual hardware upgrades and replacements.
  • Participates in IS department projects.
  • Participates in weekly shift rotation. Daily and weekend overtime may be required.
  • Evaluates and tests new software.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • In addition, responsibilities related to maintaining firm and client information are to be adhered to by all employees. This includes complying with the firm's information security policies, protecting firm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure,modification, destruction or interference, and reporting security events or potential events or other security risks to management.

Junior Helpdesk Assistant skills required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite.
- iPhone handheld installation and configuration. Mobile device support (BlackBerry work, UEM (iOS)).

  • Active Directory Administration.
  • Troubleshooting remote Access solutions including, VPN, Citrix, RSA Administration.
  • Experience with Dell Desktop and Laptop computers as well as Xerox and HP Desktop and Network printers an advantage.


This role is very much for someone on the upward curve of their IT career, salary will be to £30,000 with standard hours 9am to 5pm with this role being office based.
