Sales and Estimating Manager Role

Birmingham, UK

£45,000 - £50,000 per annum

We are a leading bespoke joinery and architectural metalwork company based in Birmingham.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Estimating Manager to lead our sales and estimating functions, driving business growth and securing new projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:

Drive sales activities, ensuring a structured approach to identifying and securing enquiries that meet the company's production capacity and strategic goals.
Develop and maintain a robust system for managing sales leads and ensuring the smooth transition from enquiry to order.
Compile and manage monthly order projections and performance reports to monitor progress and inform business decisions.
Provide mentorship and training for junior estimators to develop their skills and support career progression.
Act as the lead contact for specific projects, managing select contracts when required and ensuring seamless communication with internal teams and clients.

Team Management and HR:

Manage and support the team within the Sales and Estimating functions, ensuring high standards of performance and adherence to company policies.
Handle staff HR processes, including performance reviews, training plans, and ensuring adequate coverage during absences.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven professional with a strong background in sales, estimating, and team management.

Proven track record in managing sales pipelines and delivering successful tenders.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Relevant sales management training or qualifications.

Personal Attributes:

Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
