Driver / Bearer / Out of Hours Operative - Part Time / Casual Position

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Pall Bearer / Driver / Out of Hours Operative to join our family team based in Bradenham and Dereham.

The position will entail being available on a part-time basis as a hearse driver / bearer We operate a modern Jaguar XJ Hearse and Limousine fleet.

You would be responsible for maintaining and valeting the funeral vehicles to a very high standard.

There may also be opportunities for more days on an 'As and When needed' basis.

The applicant will also be required to be available as part of our 'Out of Hours' rota covering one evening per week and every fourth weekend (24 hours) - Friday evening through to Monday morning.

This will entail being available to attend to the 'First Call' collection of the deceased patient from their own home or nursing home and bringing them into our care.

There may be an opportunity for extra on call duties if desired.

There are no set hours of work as this depends on our weekly diary hence a zero hour / casual contract however on average around 43 hours per month - More information can be given on request.

Full in-house training will be given to the successful applicant.

Ideally applicant will live within 15 miles of office due to 'out of hours' response time.

• The applicant must be of very smart appearance with no visible body art / piercings, physically fit and demonstrate a caring and patient manner.
• Position would suit semi retired/retired person.
• Professional drivers are preferred with a proven record and clean licence (3 speeding points considered).
• Full inhouse training will be given to the successful applicant.
• Uniform provided
• Good rates of pay with holiday entitlement and possibility of Nest Pension Scheme dependant on circumstances.
• Immediate start possible.
• References required / DBS Checks may be required.

There is a possibility this position could extend to full time employment for the right applicant.
