Description

We have opportunities to support the development of two newly qualified Cardiac Physiologists within our team at Hampshire Hospital Foundation Trust.

Our dynamic and enthusiastic physiology team provide highly specialised cardiac testing for adult patients living across the Hampshire area.

At HHFT we are proud of our preceptorship programme that we offer to newly qualified staff.

With the support of our enthusiastic team and dedicated educator you will gain competence in many areas including:


  • Noninvasive testing
  • ECG, holter monitoring, analysis, assisting in DSEs
  • Echocardiography
  • Assisting in pacemaker and ILR implant
  • Performing pacemaker and ILR follow up (including remote follow up)
  • Cardiac catheter lab including the 24 hour PPCI service (an oncall room is available for this)


Following completion of the preceptorship which lasts 12-18 months,you will specialise into your area of interest, and start working towards professional accreditation.
