Contract Scotland has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join our client, a leading fit-out company based in Glasgow - this is a full-time position based in the Govan area of Glasgow.

This opportunity will give you the chance to work with a building contractor with a focus on fit-out and refurbishment projects.

You will be working as part of the Buying Team, and your duties will include:

Procuring materials for sites
Managing plant including procurement and allocation
Raising purchase orders through the internal system
Dealing with any invoice disputes/queries for resolution
Continually reviewing supplier performance to ensure they deliver against criteria
Identifying potential new suppliers and managing the process through to the completion of supplier agreements
Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers
Liaising with site teams and dealing with any requests/queries

Previous experience as a Buyer is essential, and a working knowledge of the construction industry would be beneficial.

You must be organised and proactive and will understand the importance of working quickly and within agreed timescales.
You will have excellent communication, with the ability to create and develop excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
