Client Details
My client are a well-established organisation based in central Brighton. Working mostly from the office, this Accounts Assistant role will be looking to regularly support the Management Accountant.
Description
As the Accounts Assistant, your role responsibilities will include:
- Coding and requesting approvals for purchase ledger invoices.
- Invoice entry on purchase and sales ledger across multiple entities
- Review of Aged Debtors and Creditors and actioning chasing or adjustments
- Weekly payment run and deposit refunds
- Client account reconciliation and review
- Cashbook postings and reconciliations for client accounts and expense accounts covering up to 20 bank accounts
- General expense and credit card analysis
- Intercompany cross charging support
- Updating and Maintaining Fixed Asset Registers, Prepayment & Accrued Income Schedule
- Management of 3 Accounts mailboxes & dealing with administrative queries
- Assisting in the preparation of Statutory Filings
- Reporting and resolving discrepancies and anomalies in a timely fashion
- Assisting with Month End and preparation of Accounts
Profile
- AAT studier or qualified
- Minimum Intermediate level of excel
- Experienced in Accountancy software packages
- Competent in Microsoft office
- High attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Resilient and keen to learn in a niche industry
